Wholesale Guidelines
Welcome to the MAË Body Jewelry Community!
We’re proud to partner exclusively with professional piercing studios that share our commitment to quality, ethics, and respectful collaboration. The following guidelines outline the expectations and standards we uphold to ensure a supportive and sustainable wholesale relationship.

Order Requirements & Stockist Status
- Our order minimum is $500 CAD, applicable to every order.
- Once your first order is completed, your studio will be added to our official stockist map—enhancing your visibility and signaling to clients that you are an authorized MAË retailer.
- As a thank-you, every first-time client receives a complimentary MAË display. To receive yours, please specify your preferred color in the notes at checkout. Cream or Charcoal.
- MAË-branded displays are to be used exclusively with MAË jewelry. Using them to display other brands may confuse clients, misrepresent available styles, and dilute our brand image—particularly if lower-quality pieces are displayed on them.
- Orders may not be placed on behalf of other piercers or studios without an approved MAË account. Each stockist must apply and be approved individually. Accounts found ordering for unauthorized resellers may be reviewed or terminated.
- Once approved, retailers must place their first order within six (6) months. To maintain active status, at least one order must be placed every twelve (12) months. Inactive accounts may be subject to termination.
Production Timeline & Shipping Policy
- Our standard production lead time is 10–15 business days, excluding shipping.
- We do not accept rush orders. Every piece is crafted with care, and we will never compromise on quality to meet a shorter timeline.
- • All orders are shipped using express service via Canada Post, Purolator, or other trusted carriers, with signature confirmation included for added security.
- Tracking information will be provided by email once your order ships. If any delivery issues arise, please contact us directly for support.
Marketing & Brand Support
- Stockists have access to a shared cloud folder containing logos, product images, and lifestyle photography to help promote MAË jewelry both in-studio and online.
- Need additional assets or marketing support? We're always happy to collaborate with aligned studios—just reach out!
Product Care & Handling
All MAË jewelry is handcrafted and delivered with a perfect mirror polish.
- Re-polishing or modifying our pieces is strictly prohibited. Studio equipment cannot replicate our finish, and alterations will void the warranty.
- If you receive a piece with a polish concern, notify us immediately. We’ll address and resolve it directly.
- Handle all jewelry with care and store them in a clean, dry and secure environment. Clients should be advised not to install or remove jewelry themselves, as certain pieces are delicate and require professional handling.
Repairs & Replacements
We offer a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects, such as stone loss or broken pins.
If an issue arises:
- Email us promptly with clear photos and a brief description of the issue and how it occurred.
- Returned items must be clean from any bodily fluids, sterilized, and sealed in a bag.
- If no active order is in progress, we will ship your replacement separately to avoid delays.
- Damage due to abusive, improper use or client mishandling may not be covered. If you’re unsure, contact us for clarification.
Ethics & Retail Standards
We expect our retail partners to uphold the highest standards of hygiene, sterilization, and professional care in all studio operations and client interactions.
At MAË Body Jewelry, we are committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. Discrimination, harassment, or bullying—verbal, written, or physical—will not be tolerated. Everyone interacting with our brand is expected to treat others with dignity and professionalism, regardless of background or identity.
Studios that fail to meet these expectations may be subject to account review or termination.
We reserve the right to deny or terminate wholesale accounts for practices including (but not limited to):
- Use of piercing guns or pressurized devices
- Use of externally threaded jewelry or other unsafe materials
Pricing Policy
We recommend a retail markup of 2.5x to 3x the wholesale price. A minimum markup of 2x is required.
Undercutting or pricing practices that harm fellow retailers are not acceptable. While seasonal promotions or client discounts are allowed, pricing should always reflect the premium nature of our jewelry.
Payment Policy
Full payment is required in advance before production begins. Once payment is received, your order enters our production queue.
Customizations & Stone Matching
At this time, we do not offer custom pieces or alterations. However, customization options are planned for the near future.
Please note: Genuine stones vary naturally in color, clarity, inclusions, and size. While we strive for visual consistency, each piece is unique due to the natural qualities of the materials we use.
Online Retail Policy
Online sales are permitted only for studios with a physical retail location. We do not approve accounts for online-only retailers.
Product images are available for online use upon request. However, we encourage studios to use their own photos to best represent their unique inventory and environment.
